25 January, 2006 - The conference photos are now online, and Professor Arthur Sale has provided the solution to the conference dinner crossword puzzle (PDF format).

12 January, 2006 - The registration system has now closed so that we can prepare for the conference. If you wish to make a late registration, or alter an existing registration, please contact the organising committee as per the contacts page.

14 December, 2005 - The commencement time of a number of events on Monday January 16 has been brought forward by 30 minutes. The full schedule with updated times is available on the program page.

14 November, 2005 - Early-bird registrations have now closed.

4 November, 2005 - Interested in short bird watching tour after the conference? Myles McNally ( is organizing a three day tour focusing on the Hobart area and Bruny Island with a local nature tour company. Expect to see all 12 Tasmanian endemic and numerous other species while enjoying wonderful scenery and comfortable accommodations. Very limited space on this tour, so contact Myles for details ASAP if you are interested.

3 November, 2005 - The early bird deadline closes soon. To qualify for early-bird pricing, you need to register before November 14, and we must have your payment by November 28.

1 November, 2005 - Please ensure you get your accommodation and flights booked as soon as possible. January is a particularly busy time for visitors to Tasmania.

19 September, 2005 - The Australian Workshop on Data Mining for Defence Applications (AWDMDA) has been cancelled. Papers already submitted to this workshop have been transferred to the AISW-NetSec workshop.
