Types of Projects
There are a wide variety of projects submitted each year. For a project to be considered eligible it must have enough work to keep five students busy for 26 weeks.
It must also include a substantial programming component. Projects have different benefits to students. Students may want to take on a project that is relevant to an area
they would like to work in after leaving university. Some projects are very client interaction based, others are graphical, and others are rather technical or scientific,
while others involve displaying multimedia content. After the students form a team, the team then chooses a project from the list available.
Projects fall into the following domains:
| "Overall I have been impressed with the abilities of this team to remain focused on getting the development completed.
They have stuck to the original brief and delivered a useful product. They have also been very easy to deal with and I have watched their
confidence grow throughout the year. They will be useful assets to the Tasmanian computing/it industry in the future." |

| "The team has worked well and communicated ideas and thoughts well via meetings and email.
Congratulations to them for the work they have completed on a very complex project, and their desire to continue development
via a SourceForge project." |
