Collaborative tools project

The collaborative tools project was designed with intent to allow multiple users to remotely collaborate on a variety of tasks and projects. The primary means of this is to be a whiteboard, on which users can use common graphics tools to communicate and share ideas.

It was created by Dytech Solutions for the Department of Education. Dytech Solutions was formed with a strong focus on solution delivery. The firm prides itself on accurately identifying its client's needs and leveraging the latest technologies to implement its solutions effectively and efficiently.

Our aim in this project is to embody these characteristics in developing a professional solution, whilst developing ourselves as computing professionals.

The software will be developed as a Java Applet, allowing it to be used on a variety of platforms, across any network. It is designed to be used by teachers and educators to collaborate on a variety of projects, tasks, and discussions. Teachers love using whiteboards, and so the primary component of the software is an electronic whiteboard. The users will be able to log into a session, and collaborate on the one whiteboard using a variety of common graphics tools. There will also be a chat function incorporated into the software, allowing the users to communicate freely with their collaborators.

Feel free to view this site and see how we're going with it. It will be updated regularly to keep you all informed of our progress.
